As such, many operators employ extremely large volume sand-based contact-driven fracture designs to balance well productivity and project economics. Employing poor-quality sands in deeper, higher pressure and higher temperature wells, risks creating an underperforming fracture network and negatively impacting the delivery of hydrocarbons to the wellbore.
