MuddAse Enzymes Perform Better

The patented MuddAse line of enzymes is the innovative result of over 20 years of research and development. Hallux Talon Oil Services uses genetically modified organisms to produce enzymes engineered for the specific polymers used in drilling operations, as well as specific bottom hole conditions, which continuously have resulted in unsurpassed regained permeabilities.

Based on specific customer requirements, we can precisely customize your MuddAse enzyme treatment. We consider the type of polymers being utilized, polymer ratios, temperature, pH, treatment time and formation sensitivity to determine the proper MuddAse enzyme solution. By combining enzymes that remain functional in the presence of other types of enzymes, MuddAse enzymes are able to degrade a variety of different polymers with one treatment.

Competitive Clean-Up Methods

Hallux Talon’s MuddAse enzyme package will outperform all other competitive clean-up options, including acids and oxidizers which only react in a stoichiometric ratio. Once the acid or oxidizer is spent, there are no other possible chemical reactions. Independent laboratory testing has also consistently shown regained permeability results of less than 40% for clean-ups using acids or oxidizers. They indiscriminately react with the entire fluid system, formation and tubulars, causing chemical reactions to occur on non-targeted components. In contrast, the MuddAse products are catalysts and continue to degrade each type of polymer they are specifically designed for. MuddAse enzymes will not oxidize or react with other additives in a fluid system, formation or tubulars. The use of Hallux Talon’s state-of-the-art, patent pending MuddAse treatment and service will eradicate nearly all polymeric residue when properly used. Independent laboratory testing has consistently shown Regained Permeabilities in excess of 90% when using MuddAse.
